Government Information on Swine Flu A(H1N1)
The UK government has launched a Swine Flu section to the direct.gov website to provide information to the public.
It includes information on the number of recorded cases as well as tips on prevention and the latest travel recommendations.

The official guideline on face masks is that they are unlikely to offer protection to the wearer. As I understand they are more effective at preventing the public from someone that is infectious, but even then it relies on the masks being changed on a regular basis.
The World Health Organisation has said that it will be referring to the virus as A(H1N1) so as not to make it appear that you can get the virus from eating pig based products.
Quite frankly everyone is calling it swine flu, so renaming it is a case of bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted [or name “Swine Flu” in this case].
