Doubt Kills – Dial 999 for a Heart Attack

The British Heart Foundation is running a new campaign “Doubt Kills”. Every 5 minutes someone in the UK dies from a heart attack, many of which don’t call for an ambulance when they have a heart attack.

In the event that someone suffers from a heart attack it’s important that an ambulance is called as soon as possible. An aspirin can be chewed, which can help from a First Aid point of view, but the ambulance crew can often give clot-busting drugs as soon as they arrive.

The campaign is supported by the Ambulance Service Association.
