Free Software Pact – turns software patents into a election issue

I have already posted that I believe that software patents are the biggest threat to free and open source software. Software patents do nothing to improve the quality of software and create a major barrier to all but the big software companies.

The Free Software Pact has been forged to turn this into a political issue in this Thursday’s European elections.
